10 Day Jbel Saghro Trek

Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
- Arrival: Pick up from Marrakech Airport and transfer to your riad.
- Evening: Free time to explore Marrakech’s medina and souks.
- Overnight: Stay in a riad in Marrakech.

Day 2: Marrakech to El Kelaa des Mgouna
- Transfer: Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260m), heading towards the Valley of the Roses.
- Exploration: Visit the small town of El Kelaa des Mgouna (1,431m), famous for its rose products. Alternatively, explore the Assif Mgoun Valley with its stunning kasbahs.
- Overnight: Stay in a small hotel overlooking the Valley of the Roses.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Transfer Time: 6 hours.
Day 3: El Kelaa des Mgouna to Le Merse
- Transfer & Trek: After transferring to the Oued Dades, begin your trek, ascending the slopes of Jbel Saghro.
- Overnight: Camp at Le Merse near a well.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Walking Time: 6 to 7 hours.
Day 4: Le Merse to Assaka n’Aït Ouzzine
- Trekking: Continue your trek through the Tizi n’Tagmout (1,800m), descend to the village of Tagmout, and continue to Assaka n’Aït Ouzzine (1,584m).
- Overnight: Camp on the outskirts of the village.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Walking Time: 5 hours.
Day 5: Assaka n’Aït Ouzzine to Irhissi
- Trekking: Climb around Tine Ouaiyour, descending through the dramatic Irhissi Gorge. Arrive in Irhissi (1,625m), a village near a dilapidated kasbah.
- Overnight: Camp by the kasbah ruins.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Walking Time: 3 hours.
Day 6: Irhissi to Igli
- Trekking: Ascend through the cliffs to the village of Riche and climb steeply to the oasis of Igli, nestled in a natural amphitheater surrounded by rocks.
- Overnight: Camp in Igli.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Walking Time: 6 to 7 hours.
Day 7: Igli to Irhazzoun n’Imlas
- Trekking: Journey from Igli to Boilouz and through the Oufourar Gorge to the famous Bab n’Ali twin rock towers. Continue towards Irhazzoun n’Imlas (1,600m), camping on the village edge.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Walking Time: 5 to 6 hours.
Day 8: Irhazzoun n’Imlas to Nekob
- Trekking: Hike through the Assif Hanedour Valley to the picturesque Hanedour village with its kasbah ruins.
- Transfer: Drive to Nekob (1,039m), known as the town of the 40 kasbahs.
- Overnight: Stay in a small hotel in Nekob.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Walking Time: 4 hours, plus 1-hour transfer.
Day 9: Nekob to Marrakech
- Transfer: Depart from Nekob to Marrakech.
- Free Time: Explore the city of Marrakech at leisure, with time to visit its souks, historical sites, and gardens.
