Join us on an unforgettable 8-day desert adventure through the majestic landscapes of southern Morocco. This journey takes you from the charming desert town of Ouarzazate to the vast expanse of the Erg Chigaga dunes, and back again, with stops in traditional towns and villages along the way. Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival in Ouarzazate
Arrive in Ouarzazate, a charming desert town and the “capital” of southern Morocco. Transfer to a charming hotel or riad, where a delicious dinner awaits, followed by a relaxing overnight stay.
Day 2: Ouarzazate - Agdez - Zagora (3 hours)
Embark on a scenic drive through the stunning Draa Valley, famous for its numerous traditional kasbahs (fortresses). Stop for lunch at a riad in Zagora, a picturesque town at the gateway to the desert. In the afternoon, depart with a 4×4 to “Oumlashar”, crossing the mountains into the desert. Overnight in a nomad tent at Diabi.
Day 3: Diabi to Oued Lamhasar
Cross a mountain and river, and spend the night at Imi n Oued Lamhasar, where a tent awaits.
Day 4: Oued Lamhasar to Chegaga
Traverse the plateau towards Chegaga, located in the heart of the “ocean of sand”. Overnight in tents or under the stars.
Day 5: Camel Trekking from Chegaga to Bogarn Dunes
Embark on a camel trek across small dunes and hills to Bogarn.
Day 6: Camel Trekking from Bogarn to Oued Naam
Continue the camel trek across small dunes and hills to Oued Naam.
Day 7: Camel Trekking from Oued Naam to Tazmoute and Zagora
Trek to Tazmoute, and after lunch, return to Zagora by 4×4. Overnight in a riad.
Day 8: Zagora - Ouarzazate or Marrakech
After breakfast, depart for Ouarzazate or Marrakech (depending on the itinerary). Transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
