Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Arrive at Marrakech airport and transfer to a charming hotel or riad, where dinner will be served followed by a relaxing overnight stay.
Day 2: Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Zagora
Depart early for Zagora, stopping in Ouarzazate for lunch and passing through the Ait Saoune mountain pass. Witness the breathtaking descent into the famous Draa Valley, with its 200 km of date palms. Arrive in Zagora and spend the night under the stars in nomadic tents.
Day 3: Zagora - Ouladriss - Erg Lihoud
Meet your camel team drivers in Mhamid and begin your desert journey. Cross the desert between the Ouladriss and Erg of Jews dunes, stopping for lunch under the shade of tamarisk or acacia trees. Camp in the desert surrounded by majestic dunes.
Day 4: Erg Lihoud - Oued Naam
Explore the Sahara desert and discover its different faces. Visit Berber tents, wells, and tamarisk and acacia trees. Enjoy a traditional lunch and camp in the middle of the desert, surrounded by panoramic views of the dunes. Gather wood for the campfire and bake bread in the sand, following an old tradition.
Day 5: Oued Naam - Erg Bouguerne
Continue across the desert, passing through the Erg plateau and leaving behind a stony desert height. Camp overnight in the big Bouguerne dunes.
Day 6: Bouguerne Erg - Zahar Erg
Head south to the big dunes of Zahar Erg, following the bank of the drained river Draa. Camp at the base of the biggest dune.
Day 7: Zahar Erg - Sidi Naji
Enjoy a breathtaking sunrise in the dunes, with panoramic views. Continue walking and leave the Erg, entering a region with less sand and more open spaces. Camp in Sidi Naji or a nearby location.
Day 8: Sidi Naji - Ouled Driss
Cross a vast region covered with pottery pieces and reach the Mhamid El-Ghizlane palm grove. Celebrate your last night in the desert surrounded by palm trees and small dunes.
Day 9: Ouled Driss - Zagora - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
Depart for Ouarzazate, visiting the Kasbah at Ait Ouerir and having breakfast at the base. Transfer to the airport for your departure.
