Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Upon arrival at Marrakech airport, you will be transferred to a charming Riad where you will be installed. Enjoy dinner and overnight in Marrakech.
Day 2: Marrakech - Telouet - Ait Ben Haddou - The Gorges of Dades
Depart from your hotel or Riad in Marrakech in the morning and head towards the Gorges de Dades, passing through the highest road pass in Morocco (2260 m), the Tizin Tichka pass. Stop along the way to take pictures.
Continue to Telouet and visit the Glaoui Kasbah, a 19th-century palace built by the Glaoui family. Then, pass through the valley of Ounila to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This valley was once an important passage for caravans between Marrakech and Ouarzazate, and offers a striking contrast between the ocher earth and the verdant plantations.
Visit the Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, one of the most famous in the Moroccan South, and admire the view from the ruined granary. After lunch in a typical restaurant, depart towards the gorges of Dades, crossing the Valley of the Roses.
Dinner and overnight at a hotel.
Day 3: The Gorges of Dades - The Gorges of Todra - Dunes of Erg Chebbi
After breakfast, depart towards the dunes of Erg Chebbi, passing through the palm grove of Tinghir and the gorges of Todra. Take a walk on foot, then continue towards Arfoud. Visit a geological site of fossils and enjoy lunch en route.
Continue by a track that extends the dunes of Erg Chebbi to the village of Khamlia, where you can have tea with a Gnaoua family. Around 5 pm, climb a dromedary to reach your bivouac in the middle of the dunes, with a stop to watch the sunset.
Dinner and night under a Berber tent with an evening around the fire, music, and Tam Tam with the nomads.
Day 4: Dunes of Erg Chebbi - Rissani - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
After breakfast in the tent, return to Marrakech via Rissani and Alnif, with lunch in the village of N’g. Continue by Ouarzazate, a popular location for filmmakers from around the world. Visit the cinema studio in Ouarzazate, then return to Marrakech.
